Florida Supercon has quickly grown into South Florida’s largest fan convention – and Wasabi Anime will be on hand hosting a number of events and producing some anime-related  entertainment.  Click here for the full Florida Supercon weekend schedule. Here are the highlights we’d like to share:

FRIDAY
12:00PM – 2:00AM: ANIME VIEWING ROOM
Hosted by Wasabi Anime. Hours and hours of non-stop anime. Schedule will be posted on the entrance to the room. Room 700 (ANIME)
2:00PM – 9:00PM: COSPLAY / ANIME INFO TABLE
Wasabi Anime will have a table set up at the front of the Exhibition Room where you can sign up for all our Cosplay events and get the info on everything going on in the Anime Track all weekend. This is where you sign up for The FSC Costume Competition, The FSC Cosplay Contest, FSC’s Cosplay Rockband and Cosplay Survivor.
4:00PM – 5:00PM: RUMBLE ROSES MEET AND GREET
Come and meet the sassy and sexy vixens of the FSC Rumble Roses Cosplay Wrestling Show before they get covered with scrapes and bruises. 1 Hour – Room 900 (COSPLAY)
5:30PM – 6:30PM: ANIME RETRO: SAILOR MOON
The Sailor Moon anime start airing in 1992… 18 years ago! This classic anime has been a staple of fandom and pop culture ever since with two hundred episodes and a live action series that ran only in Japan. Moonies unite for this walk down memory lane. New fans are invited, too, to learn about the “the one called Sailor Moon!” 1 Hour – Room 100A (ANIME)

Just what it sounds like… Rumble Roses live and in the ring! Join the girls of Rumble Roses as they enter the squared circle (that’s the wrestling ring for those who don’t know the lingo) as they bring the action of the video game to life before your eyes. They’re sexy! They’re tough! and they’re gonna beat each other senseless. Even if you’ve played the video game, there’s nothing like seeing it live! 45 Minutes – Main Events Stage (COSPLAY)
8:00PM – 8:30PM: COSPLAY CONTEST REGISTRATION
Haven’t already signed up at the Cosplay desk for the Cosplay Contest? Come by the Anime Track Room to sign up before it starts! The contest starts at 8:30pm sharp. 30 Minutes – Room 100A (COSPLAY)
8:30PM – 10:00PM: F.S.C. COSPLAY CONTEST
Just what it sounds like! Come in costume and bring your best skit as you compete against your friends and foes! Sign up at the Information and Cosplay Booth or in Room 100A before the contest starts. 90 Minutes – Room 100A (COSPLAY)

SATURDAY

The Girls of Wasabi Anime have won awards at major anime conventions across Georgia and Florida including Anime Festival Orlando, JACON, and MegaCon. They even took home “Best of Show” in the Masquerade for two years at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, Georgia – the largest fan convention in the southeast. Come join a frank discussion about what the judges look for when entering contests and how to avoid common mistakes that many costumers make when going on stage. 1 Hour – Room 900 (COSPLAY)
6:30PM – 7:00PM: TOP 10 ANIME OF ALL TIME #4

9:30PM – 10:30PM: DARE! THE TRANSFORMERS PANEL ULTIMATE
Join Tom Croom & “Tentacle” Chris Duplis as they take you down a magical journey of robots that turn into cars, planes and cool stuff… but not beasts because that would be stupid, right? Autobots, Decepticons, Bayformers and other cool stuff will be discussed. 1 Hour – Room 100A (ANIMATION)
12:00AM – 3:00AM: THE FSC RAVE AKA “OTAKU INSOMNIA”
Wasabi Anime will host the FSC Rave. Get out your glow sticks and hit the dance floor! 3 Hours – Main Events Stage (MUSIC)

SUNDAY

2:00PM – 3:00PM: HISTORY OF FLORIDA ANIME FANDOM
Did you know that a large portion of anime fandom has its roots thanks to some college kids with a VCR and Amiga computer? Learn the history (and legends) behind the explosion of anime conventions in the Sunshine State that took place over the past decade. 1 Hour – Room 100A (ANIME)
3:30PM – 5:00PM: COSPLAY ROCKBAND
It’s Rockband with a twist! Come dressed in cosplay as a band of your favorite anime or cartoon characters (imagine Naruto on lead vocals, Sasuke on bass, Gaara on guitar and Temari on drums… or Master Shake on lead vocals, Frylock on bass, Carl on guitar and Meatwad on drums). Contestants are judged on song performance, costumes and the use of cliche stage moves to entertain the audience. 90 Minutes – Room 100A (COSPLAY)
