Cosplayers spend hours, days and (sometimes) months creating costumes for conventions and events. Here at Wasabi Anime, we’ve always thought that Halloween was the perfect time to get everyone together to dress up on the day when the rest of the world does, too. Hence we created the Wasabi Anime Halloween Cosplay Parties in 2001 and 2003.
Since then, we’ve been extremely busy with running conventions and events across America… thus we haven’t really had the chance to do any more Halloween Parties. This year, though, we’re going back to our roots and looking to bring Cosplay back to Halloween by hosting an online costume contest.
(Complete with FABULOUS prizes!)
HOW TO ENTER:
STEP 1 – Go to the Wasabi Anime Facebook (www.facebook.com/WasabiAnime) and post a photo on “The Wall” of you in costume. Be sure to include your name (first name and last initial OR stage name… “Tom C.” OR “WasabiGuy”.)
STEP 2 – “Share” the photo on your Facebook asking your friends to “Like” it. (NOTE: They will have to “Like” Wasabi Anime in order to be able to rate the photo.)
HOW TO WIN:
The Cosplay photo with the most “Likes” as of midnight Halloween night (Monday, October 31, 2011) wins. ACTUALLY… the top three will win.
FIRST PLACE wins $100 and one of these snazzy Cowboy Bebop prints signed by Steve “Spike Spiegel” Blum, Beau “Jet Black” Billingslea, Melissa “Ed” Fahn and Wendee “Faye Valentine” Lee.
SECOND PLACE wins a hardcover copy of Cosplay in America and one of the aforementioned (signed) Cowboy Bebop prints.
THIRD PLACE wins one of the signed Cowboy Bebop prints.
THE WASABI AWARD will also win one of the prints. The Wasabi Award will be given to a costume chosen by the Wasabi Anime staff that we felt should have won (but didn’t get enough “Likes.”)

LEGAL STUFF:
All rules are subject to change at any time. Green Mustard Entertainment reserves the right to reject (and remove) any entry for any reason during the contest.
I made this costume out of foam from a couch pillow, tan paint, fleece, black fuzzy socks, goodwill jeans, and random things in could find! This game really took me back and I felt as if I wanted to take everyone else back with me. I wanted everyone to feel the joy of this old 90′s game as i did in my childhood.
