Halloween Cosplay Party

After Wasabi Anime started in the summer of 2001, we decided to try and host our first event independent of a convention.  The result: Wasabi Anime’s Halloween Cosplay Party.  The event took place at a resort on International Drive in Orlando, Florida and about three hundred local anime fans stopped by.  The evening included a mini-dealer’s room, an anime themed jack-o-lantern contest, a  dance and (of course!) a costume contest.  You can see photos from the event here.

Two years later, we hosted the party again.

Each year we discuss bringing this event back… time will tell.
