Have you ever noticed that convention game rooms all seem to offer the same thing over and over again?  So did Wasabi Anime – so we decided to do something about it.  Enter The Wasabi Retrocade: a game room featuring game systems and video games from your childhood and beyond.

(And by “beyond” we mean “before you were born.”)

Part museum and part entertainment experience, the Retrocade offers an alternative for gamers looking to take a stroll down memory lane or to see relics from the golden age of gaming.  We don’t use emulators or any newfangled technology for this game room, just real systems with cartridges and wires connecting the controllers.  Attendees are immersed in a complete classic video gaming experience.

We’ve offered fans a chance to play a number of game systems including:

In 2010, resources from the Retrocade were used to create a Japanese only game room for the Florida Anime Experience.  It featured classic console games that never made it to the United States including Sailor Moon SuperS Shin Shuyaku Soudatsusen.

Appearances: Anime Weekend Atlanta, Florida Supercon, FX Show, Hibiscus Festival and JACON.

Run Time: All weekend
