The first game next Tuesday night will be Halo 3. See you there!
02/02/09 - The Broward Anime Festival this weekend!
The Wasabi Anime staff is excited to be making our way back to South Florida
- and Anime SuperCon's BAF seems like a great way to kick off the con season. Be
sure to stop buy and visit our table in the Exhibitor's Room, and check out our
events for the weekend:
SATURDAY
12:00 PM – Grand Theft Anime
This game show is a trivia based event where twenty players (ten on each team)
compete for survival and prizes by answering questions and picking "GTA Cards"
for random and often entertaining effects. Watch anime fans "die mafia style
deaths" as they strive to prove their knowledge of anime, manga, and video
games. In the end, only one player walks away with ALL the prizes!
2:00 PM – Transformers Panel
Join Tom "WasabiGuy" Croom and "Tentacle" Chris Duplis as we talk about cars
that turn into robots that turn into multi-million dollar franchises. (At least
one "Gobot" joke will be made during the panel for your amusement.)
11:30 PM – Otaku Insomnia Rave (until 2AM)
Wasabi Anime's "Rave In A Box" promises to have thumping music, crazy lights and
glow sticks. Zaniness will ensue!
SUNDAY
2:30 PM – Anime Taboo
Based on the popular board game from Hasbro, the Wasabi Anime version features
popular anime, characters, manga, video games, and more.
Teams of two compete to see how many cards they can guess correctly in 60
seconds without using any of the "taboo" words described on each card. The team
with the most correct answers after wins fabulous prizes!
02/02/09 - JACON Retrospective Project
